For the first time in history, a Specialised EXPO is coming to the Western Balkans. EXPO 2027 Belgrade is more than exhibition and event - it is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for Serbia, the region, and the world to unite around innovation, creativity, and progress.

From 15th May to 15th August 2027, Belgrade will become a global hub of ideas and solutions, welcoming over 130 nations and millions of visitors.

It will be a place where businesses, policymakers, visionaries, and everyday people come together to explore the power of play as a force for innovation and human connection.

The logo of Expo 2027 Belgrade consists of intertwined flowing lines, drawing inspiration from the confluence of the Sava and Danube Rivers in Belgrade. These dynamic forms capture the vitality of sports and the rhythm of music. The merging vivid colours stand for cross-cultural exchange and global solidarity. They embody the cooperative spirit of Expos and the event’s core vision of inclusiveness, mutual prosperity and joint celebration.

Offcial Mascots of Expo 2027

Rastko and Milica, are the superheroes of play and the Official Mascots of EXPO 2027! The names carry a deep connection to the tradition and culture they come from. Rastko symbolizes growth, progress, and innovation, while Milica brings warmth, kindness, and harmony. Through play, Rastko and Milica reflect a blend of energy and hospitality, creating space for togetherness, collaboration, and ideas that connect people from all over the world.

Expo 2027 Belgrade Venue Overview

At EXPO 2027 Belgrade, play is more than just a pastime — it’s a force that drives progress. Through three immersive thematic units, that is Power of Play, Play for Progress and Play Together, visitors will explore how play inspires discovery, fuels creativity, and strengthens human connections.

Power of Play The Power of Play pavilion focuses on fun, interactive exhibits and play-inspired design elements. It transforms the rich knowledge and personal experiences of play gathered over the centuries, into the play itself, examining its function and purpose.

Play for Progress This pavilion will use various forms and content to show how playful exploration can lead to revolutionary breakthroughs. The focus is on humans, and the content explores the impact of playing on the development of humanity. The goal is to inspire visitors to further explore play and encourage their creativity.

Play Together The Play Together pavilion encourages visitors to create through sports-and-music-related activities with the aim of presenting the social aspect of play as a powerful tool for meeting, socialising and bringing people together.

Expo 2030 Riyadh

Expo 2030 Riyadh is a flagship national strategic project of Saudi Arabia and one of the most prominent International Registered Exhibitions. Held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s capital, the event will run from 1 October 2030 to 31 March 2031, spanning six months, with the theme “The Era of Change: Together for a Foresighted Tomorrow”.

Covering a site area of 6 million square metres, the Expo will feature over 230 pavilions. As a landmark initiative under Saudi Vision 2030, it focuses on technological innovation, sustainable development and global partnership. It aims to become the world’s first carbon-negative World Expo, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s ongoing international outreach, innovation and global transformation.

Supported by large-scale urban infrastructure upgrades, the Expo will fuel integrated growth in tourism, trade and technology across the Middle East, serving as a platform for global green development and international collaboration.

The Expo 2030 Riyadh logo draws inspiration from Saudi Arabia’s indigenous culture, featuring natural landscapes including deserts and oases as well as traditional folk motifs. It embodies diversity, connectivity and collaborative innovation and signifies nations uniting to build a sustainable future, in perfect harmony with the Expo’s core theme.

Expo 2030 Riyadh Venue Overview

Expo 2030 Riyadh is situated in northern Riyadh, adjacent to King Salman International Airport and linked to the city’s metro network for excellent accessibility.

The Expo programme includes an opening ceremony in October 2030, mid-term global thematic summits, various national events, and a closing ceremony in March 2031. A full calendar of themed activities and high-level forums will run throughout the exposition.

Spanning six square kilometres, the site design draws inspiration from Saudi Arabia’s valleys and oases. It adopts a distinctive five-petal layout centred around a central water landscape. Pavilions are grouped into distinct yet connected zones, delivering an orderly layout and clear visitor routes.

The Five-petal Layout The master plan provides space for 226 pavilions, allowing participants to construct permanent pavilions.

Carbon-Negative & Green Ecosystem Fully powered by renewable energy, the site serves as a global benchmark for a smart, sustainable World Expo.

Post-Expo Global Village After the Expo, the entire site will be transformed into a new mixed-use urban hub blending residential, commercial and cultural spaces.
